Manny Pacquiao- spoilers from last night's fight

Post by evil_ash_xero »

Man, do any of you guys watch boxing? The Pac Man is by far the most exciting fighter in the sport. He demolished Miguel Cotto last night, who was the supposedly bigger stronger man(in a line of about 4 now). He just blows my mind.

Mayweather better quit being a pussy and step up.

I love boxing. There is no doubt Pac is an all-time great. Did you hear Manny Steward mention him in the same breath as Ali and Robinson at the end of the show? I don't think I'd go that far...but if he beats Mayweather handily and retires, he's definitely up there somewhere.

Mayweather vs. Pacquiao is going to be HUGE.

Kind of wish I had watched that fight instead of UFC last night, because aside from one or two undercard fights, that was a pretty terrible event. Randy was boring as always - I love the guy but he's just not fun to watch and he's really over the hill.

Pacquiao would have been much more entertaining.

Yea was a great fight, I knew pac man would come through the guy is just unstoppable right now. Only thing left to do now is go after Floyd but floyd is just too technical of a boxer plus who knows what will happen I would say he is probably the few in the world right now that could potentially beat floyd I also remember reading Freddie wants out and so far the only thing keeping him with manny is the prospect of getting his fighter to go toe to toe with mayweather.

I suppose hes getting tired and wants to train a fighter from the fresh go and perhaps feels hes taught everything he can to manny and its time for a new challenge.

What about Yuri (George) Foreman? WBA Welterweight Champ now. The boxing rabbi - most interesting boxer since Mohammed Ali (that I know of). Heard him on the radio two/three days ago in the runup to his world title bout. No KO, as predicted, but he won.

Also this segment with Bob Arum, former Justice Department attorney turned Mohammed Ali's promoter, is great. He predicts the return of boxing to terrestrial television!

Ehh, this is what happens when I stop watching TV. I miss a good fight [actually, a lot of fights, because I only got cable a week ago!].

But I'm not surprised with the result. Actually, I don't think anyone would be.
Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.

i am going if this happens. Fight Ever. 8)

Despite his mouth, Mayweather is a collossus - Pacquiao is the complete opposite in that he seems to be genuinely the nicest sports man on the planet!

Either way, someone big is going to get hurt - i'd prefer to see Pacquiao take Mayweather out, but both are master boxers so...

i just want to be there to see it :)

Well, what kills any hype for him is that he has no power. Got the speed and skills, but no power at all. We want blood!

Is it power, or "killer instinct?" 8)

Is he a rabbinical student? Foreman is damn easygoing for an Israeli who had crazed Arab boxers who no doubt wanted to kill him in his early training. From the former Soviet Union too, that adds a sort of fear factor as well.
