Scroll down to "Trial version" to download the demo

As for buying the game... I dunno, does Himeyashop carry this in stock?
Otherwise there's a link on their page that points to http://www.doujinshop.com/doujin/user_t ... gs=sp06827, but I don't think they export their wares outside Japan there.

Excellent little game. Short and nerve-wracking. Great music too.

This rocks, and I'm not a big doujin fan! How does deflecting enemy bullets help you, other then temporarily powering up your main weapon?

Probably my favorite doujin. The trancey vibe is really cool if only for the music. I remember this game impressed me when I was first discovering bullet hells.

So what are some PS2 shmups that are similar to this, or are there any?

Giga Wing Generations has a shield, Psyvariar 2 has somewhat similar aesthetics. Any reason for PS2 in particular?

Gameplay wise, Samidare is a pretty unique game.

I didn't know about this game. The shield system looks a bit like Judgement Silversword, which I really like. I may give this a try!

Ah, good ol' Samidare! That extra stage is the definitive communion of Seihou/Touhou, the references and tributes on the Extra Stage are great. Awesome indeed and that very same video made me get it.

It's all SFKhoa's fault. j/k (actually, I'm still thanking him for Ether Vapor)

Because of the huge library of shmups that that the PS2 has, but I'd like to know about any that are similar to this game. There's no shield in Psyvariar 2 is there?

Haha, you got "caught" didn't you :D Yeah, if paletweb is the site I'm thinking of, it's not ashamed of throwing hentai on the front sales page. I'm pretty cautious about any JP book/soft site anymore, for that reason.

Open the config.txt file on your game folder.

Change Window mode to: WndMode=off and that should do it.

I forgot how cool Samidare is, it even has a little clock with a SMD ship rotating around and the music room is quite well done too. Oh, and the menu changes when you unlock Extra.
