Thanks to raiden for running the previous hi-score thread for this game.

Default settings.

On all defaults the difficulty setting is 'Easy'.

Score formatting like this please:

NAME - SCORE - STAGE - MODE

For level, can you enter either ALL or STX (As in ST1, ST2 etc.). For Score attack go with CLEAR or NO-CLEAR, as it's just one level.

And a note on your name/handle. Unless anybody really protests, I'm going to go with your forum name. How do we feel about that?

Here's that 'Normal' score. Silly mistakes, like missing one enemy on level 1 for the relatively massive 'perfect' bonus. Now I see I'm just behind Skykid I might have to get back to it. It's an old rivalry!

I would submit a pic, but as I accidently entered OSA instead of OTA, it's kind of redundant.

Ok - you're not going down Skykid. I just spend two hours trying to milk points, secure the 200K 100 per cent bonuses, and get the boss quick-kill 50ks, and I got a lower score than on my first ever go! Stupid, slightly charming game!

I've just managed to finish this cute 'em up without a doubt Imao. Achieved 99% destruction rate and a few deaths at stage 5.

It's already uploaded in my channel. In it, I have managed to achieve 99% destruction rate because at least one enemy escaped at stage 4. And I use ice beams and pie grenades to obtain bigger chains. Oh, and no miss until stage 5. The link is right here:

Easy is much better BTW because you can score much bigger points out of it.

Screwed up stage 3 and missed out on about half a mil on that alone. Almost scrapped the run. :lol:

I think that if I pull everything together, 7 mil is possible. Don't know if I'll actually go that far, but a 6+ million clear isn't far off.

So I was wrong. This definitely should have been a clear (entered stage 6 with 3 in stock, and picked up an extra 2 extends in the stage itself) so I'm still not done. Pulled off my boss strategies pretty much flawlessly though, which is a huge source of points.

Stage 1: 1,510,167 (was surprised by this)
Stage 2: 2,425,805 (I think I have a plan to improve this one)
Stage 3: 3,580,655 (there's a lot of room for improvement on this too)
Stage 4: 6,119,198 (still plenty of room; score on stage 4 is insane)
Stage 5: 6,8xx,xxx (I still just bomb through this boss; I probably leave a lot of points on the table by doing that)
Stage 6: 7,819,469 (really, really poor)

Scores in excess of 10 mil are definitely possible, if anyone cares.

CSF - 2,300,044 - St1 - Score Attack

My goal was 2.2 mil. Is it just me, or is there a clear bonus in Score Attack? Last time I cleared I had a ship in stock and I could swear my score jumped after the run ended. I have a tough time clearing Score Attack so I haven't really tested this yet. :lol:

Now how'd you do that and without even clearing it? I didn't think my 1,1m was so far away from what could possibly be done in Score Attack. I must've missed a huge source of points.

The major source of points in the score attack stage is the battleships that are floating around. They're worth a base value of 20,000, and if you can x16 them that's a huge chunk of points. I think I hit three of them at x16 in this run. That ship with a face near the end is worth 30,000 I think, but I rarely can hit a multiplier on that - not a lot of enemies around and it's rather dangerous.

Try this:

At the beginning, use the powerup on the Ice Cream weapon.
When the first battleship begins to come on screen, hit it with five Lvl. 1 Pies.
Hit it with a shot of ice cream, but move the beam off it around halfway through.
Leave it alone for a while, kill the pandas and other enemies in the area.
Eventually more enemies will come on screen, including a couple UFOs with birds flying around them. When these come on screen, use a potato bomb (make sure it's not touching the battleship!).

When the bomb explodes, it should kill the weak enemies instantly and the battleship last, giving you a great multiplier (usually x16). The other thing to note is that if you kill enemies with high multipliers, they drop more gems. If you pull this off correctly there will be 10+ gems on screen that are pretty simple to grab.

For an easier example of how to use the Potato bomb to rack up points, there's a section in stage 1 where two lines of animals fly at you. Fly between the two lines; they'll turn around and fly back at you. At the same time, another group of them will come on screen.

Bomb them all, and here's what happens:

That's 63,200 for relatively low-values enemies, plus 85,000 for 17 gems at full value.

The same principle applies can be applied to high-worth enemies, you just need to time your bombing to kill them with the same bomb as a large number of weak enemies.

CSF - 8,465,907 - ALL - Normal

I entered stage 6 with 1 bomb and no lives left in stock, so 6 was pretty much all survival. One of my runs today had 7.1 mil going into stage 5 which is at least 700k better than this run was. There's also a lot of points to be had from the stage 6 boss and his missile attack, but I have no idea how I could reliably hit that unless I had at least 2 lives in stock and was comfortable throwing bombs left and right.

My goal 9 million; I'll quit after that.

While putting together a thread for the Strategy forum I got the urge to do another run.

I know I said 9 mil... but I messed up so many thing in this run that I feel like 10 mil is extremely within my reach and I don't want to stop now.

Example - the giant face ship in stage 4 is worth 30,000 which is great if you can pull a multiplier. Unfortunately, I suicided and then used a Pie special instead of a Potato - that alone cost me the 10 mil. Still, I did well on a lot if areas that might be hard to reproduce.

Unfortunately, it's obscure enough that there's definitely no WR information in English. I don't read Japanese so my chances of finding info that way are slim.

If it's been played by the right people, I'm sure the WR is at least in the 12 million range. I'd guess Score Attack could be 3.5 million or so?
