Saturn pads on a PS3?

Post by Elixir »

Hey, I just bought a used Japanese PS3 and I'm trying to get my USB Saturn pad to work with Daioujou. It worked with a PS1 game but I can't get it to recognize it in Daioujou, and I don't enough about the console in order to set this up. I tried reassigning the controller but that's only for the PS3 one, not the USB one connected. It recognizes it on the dashboard, just not in the PS2 game itself.

Any ideas guys?

It will not work because in PS2 mode the PS3 needs the PS button to be pressed, which your USB pad does not have.

I'm guessing which ever pad activates the PS button is whatever pad will be used in PS2 mode.
This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

So... any possible way around this?

Edit: A friend just suggested an in-pin converter for PS3, and coincidentally Laugh on SRK sells them (just like the X Converter 360 which I recommended), so I'll go with that.

No link. Just PM Laugh on Shoryuken.com about a PS3 inpin converter, tell him Elixir sent you. I just paid today. It's the same price as the X Converter 360, so $23 + $7 shipped from either Korea or Japan (he was in Japan for SBO, I dunno if he's still there).

If these are identical to the 360 ones, I will have nothing to worry about.
