I got a super emotia dx to force games into 240p as I've read about thanks to the efforts of fudoh and his informative tomes at http://www.hazard-city.de/
Unfortunately I lacked due diligence and upon receiving the emotia I idly plugged my pvm into the vga montor out and played with some buttons ... only after seeing an unsynced signal not matter which buttons I pressed only then did I refer to some docs to find out I'd basically plugged my crt into a pc passthrough socket.
Disconnecting this I then plugged in my ps2... to my annoyance the screen appeared cut off just over halfway up. It then, after a moment, the picture seemed to stretch itself in the horizontal to fill and then go past the screen's visible area. Since then it seems that the horizontal projection is overshooting the screen quite considerably (half the picture offscreen) in the horizontal and remains so no matter what horizontal size and hidden service menu tweaks I've tried.
In all cases the screen was hooked up via RGB on the 5 BNC connection. Picture positioning remains overshooting for component input too..
Can this be repaired or do I just chuck it and look for another [or buy a hideously cheap sony whatever]?
Like I say not the worst disaster in the world but I was rather fond of the pvm2950...
... oh and/or if anyone has one for sale try pming me
