How's PS1 Bravo Air Race?...

I used to love watching the Reno Air Races on ESPN2, about 10 years ago, which AFIK is the last time they aired on that channel.

So this PS1 title caught my eye...is it any good? Does it give you the real sensation of racing WWII planes?

I remember it being pretty fun and pretty fast, but I haven't played it in years. I would imagine that it must look awfully ugly these days, though also quite cheap if you can find it in a bin at EB or something.

Actually if you look at the screenshots of the game on Gamespot, it doesn't look very blocky at all; in fact it looks as if it's aged quite well.
