Long story short I'll either need to get a CGA-> Convertor or try to shoehorn a 19" crt into a cocktail that formerly housed a 25". Right now the easiest option is the convertor. Does anybody have any input on which one I should get? I've seen several different types.
Thanks!

Tell us what types your talking about.
This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

Something like this one. There's a few different versions from different companies- though I'm told that at least one has some sync issues with certain things

...I wonder if this thing can accept a 50hz component input and has an option to output a 50hz VGA signal....

edit: just got word from a chinese guy, that it will output 60hz in all cases...

The processing chip on this one is the very same found in the HDBoxPro (and similar boxes).edit: just got word from a chinese guy, that it will output 60hz in all cases...
Re: Best CGA-> VGA convertor?
I have seen the datasheet of the video-processing-chip , it can indeed output vga signal from 50 to 100hz no problem, the real problem is the firmware on all boxes, that has no option for 50hz...
it would be nice to have it though, when using a crt+pal machine, 50hz is a must
