Question about some f3 games

Kaiser Knuckle
Grid seeker
Riding Fight- Single PCB
Dungeon Magic
Twin Cobra II- Cart- maybe?

There are such things as F3 integrated PCBs? I thought they were all carts...

Some of the earlier games were only available in single PCB format. Games such as Hat Trick Hero '93 and Rayforce.

Production run might've been long for some of those. I think I saw something...somewhere? here? ...about there being bootleg cart versions of some games, but I'd be surprised if that was the whole story. I always thought Elevator Action II was well-known to be a cart game (I've seen at least one on the 'Pay), and I have the vague feeling I've seen FayRorce as a cartridge too.

Just a heads up, Kaiser Knuckle is a 6 button game. So it will probably require rewiring or an adapter for the extra buttons.

Yeah, it uses a pinout identical to the CPS1 extra buttons pinout so that you can just use a CPS1 kick harness.

GFront in Tokyo is selling those games on PCB. Or at least, that's what they have listed on their site.

Never go by those lists for what exists in real life. The internet is riddled with "facts" based on typos and rumors.

They have the cart version of Elevator Action Returns for 8,400 yen and the PCB version for 13,000 yen so there must be two versions.

If they do (which I highly doubt) I'd buy the PCB ver. in a heartbeat as it's either a proto or some creative hack, either of which would be awesome to own.

Yeah, we've discussed that. Off the top of my head, there are at least 3 boot carts that I know of, 2 of which were Arabian Magic and Ray Force. Dude sells them on YAJ now and again.

I got a boot Bubble Memories that we looked at here before.

If your F3 cart is missing the Taito silver seal covering the centre screw then take a look inside.

Wonder what if anything the 'F' means afterall Taito made previous F1 and F2 hardware systems.

Not sure if that was a question, but if so, F2 is definitely a series. Many good games on it, some of which are modular/swapable. Strange part is that the motherboard does not have the JAMMA edge, the ROM board does

I've actually been looking to sell mine for a while, and would gladly let my go for a cool $150 shipped, w/ original art.

Oh, and good luck finding Twin Qix. I've never seen one and that is actually saying alot. I've been waiting for one of those boot cart makers to have their way with this game (that and Recal Horn). Also the JP ver. (Twin Qix is the English variant) would be nice (MAME it).

All PCB only. If you see carts of any of these, they are boots. Ray Force and Light Bringer have known boot carts.
