I was browsing on eBay and came across this ebay auction for a PAL format Atari Jaguar console and the seller is including a brand new copy of PAL Raiden cartridge as well. I thought that all Jaguar carts already had both NTSC and PAL video signal encoded without the need for two seperate cartridge formats.

It is a different Jag Raiden cartridge with the serial number of J8005E that is able to display full-screen on a PAL monitor (unlike the NTSC serial numbered J8005 Raiden cartridge that can display on a PAL monitor but still has a black bar at the bottom of the display screen in addition to having NTSC support from the get-go). This newer Jaguar version of Raiden doesn away with the pesky black bar issue.
It's interesting to learn that there are two different Atari Jaguar versions of Raiden floating out there in the wilds. ^_~

I find it hard to believe that 'they' would stretch all sprites.
Or perhaps it's just a bigger playing field and all the sprites are 50 hz squashed.
I'm very interested about this too.
