Japanese Xbox 360 games on a UK based site, suggestions
I ordered my JAP360 from a UK based site, but there prices on the games are around £60 a bit pricey and i was wondering if anyone here knows some good places in the UK.

Play Asia i think is around £50 but when u count shipping the most likely duty tax you have to pay after, it goes up.

Play-Asia's overpriced, but with coupons, they're the cheapest you're going to get.

I haven't found any site in the UK for JP 360 stuff so order from Play-Asia.
I've only ever had a problem once when Death Smiles failed to show up but they sent another one to me.
It ended up taking 7 weeks.
Prices depend mainly on the exchange rate but as like me, you're prepared to import so spending a bit extra is part and parcel.
Send me a friend request for some DS co-op action if you feel like it Madeira.

I buy most all of my imports from NCSX. I'm in the US, but I see that they have many foreign customers. I've also bought tons of stuff from play-asia, yesasia, and other places like lik-sang (RIP) over the past ten years or so, and I've found that NCSX has the fastest shipping and best packing. The prices aren't really any cheaper than the other places, but I don't mind paying an extra $1-$5 for the quality of the service and getting my order in three days as opposed to three weeks.

I'm an international player. Can I buy from NCS?
Certainly. NCS ships 30% of our daily outbound freight to customers outside of the USA. The bulk of our foreign customers hail from Europe but we ship to all of Asia, New Zealand, and Australia.... Basically, anywhere UPS, Fedex, and the U.S. Postal Service can reach, we'll reach.
What is the difference between Priority Mail International and Express Mail International?
Priority Mail International generally takes between 5-10 days to arrive and is an economical service that is trackable. Express Mail generally arrives to our customers between 3-5 days and is also a trackable service on http://www.usps.gov. During the holiday season, please make allowances for your local post office to deliver your order since we've found that many postal services around the world are ill-equipped to handle the Christmas shipping volume.

I usually shop with play-asia / airmail shipping and very rarely get hit with import tax. I have a longstanding arrangement with them so that all my orders are declared at 50% or less actual value. Just recieved Mamoru-kun LE and Blazblue from them today, tax-free

I started buying from NCSX and why not? They are only 30 minutes from my house. I find their prices are generally within PAs prices, but i saved well over 15 bucks buying G.revs new game from them. The same concept applies to super markets, each have their better prices on items, just gotta find it.
Steve, unfortunately, as suggested, this isn't a cheap hobby and importing doesn't come cheap either. You should always go in being prepared to pay 20% or more than games you could get at the store. Whether you buy from PA or not, you're going to be spending very similiar money vs the site. With VAT from PA for shooting love as an example, you're already paying 52 pounds. Add in shipping and you're hitting near 70 pounds.
A few bucks isn't going to break the piggy bank nor is it going to ruin your day. Although, if you are one of those who bitch about 10 vs 5 dollar games on XBLA, well, perhaps you need to loosen the belt buckle (:

Oh yes I have accepted the over the top Taxes that here in the UK we are given, i was merely wondering if anyone knew somewhere better..... i guess £50 for an import from VideoGameImports is not bad doh its 2nd hand but saves me the hassle of paying customs if i went thro PlayAsia.

I buy most of my 360 shmups from Play Asia as well although I have gotten a few good deals on eBay when a game is put up for auction, not just given a stupid "Buy It Now" price.

Stuff from Play-Asia only tends to get picked up at Customs if it's a hefty package - so, an import 360 will definitely have an extra charge, but a single game is highly unlikely to.

Nice edit, Sorry for being pedantic. Its one of my pet peeves seeing people 'bring' a game they've just purchased.
Re: Japanese Xbox 360 games on a UK based site, suggestions
www.renchi.com will let you specify the marked value [and maybe description too if I remember?] of the package for customs ... exactly how legal this is is probably debatable... but marking 'video game merchandise' may well help too ...
The best thing whenever importing - usually from a reseller, rather than store - is to get them to mark the product as 'used/second hand' // (simply removing plastic wrapper will qualify this ... I don't know specifics but I was told by a VAT accountant this in relation to 'videogame merchandise' will help avoid tax ... it also seems a fair description of the product... (?)
