From an artist's point-of-view, anything goes in the art world whether it's a highly detailed techincal pen drawing or some crappy kid-like drawing. If the drawing could be appraised by an art appraiser, it could be even worth more money in the years to come despite the small intial asking price that it sold for off of YAJ. Whomever bought this unique piece of Cave artwork is sitting on a potential goldmine investment btw.

My local art galleries will accept anything for display on the wall for display/sale, of course if it does sell, then would take a certain percentage of the sale as commission to keep them open for business. That's a given.

It's a drawing on a piece of cardboard. By nature EVERY original drawing is more rare than a DDP campaign PCB. But they're video game makers not renaissance painters. Surely this is a collector's item but to even compare it to a DDP campaign PCB is just laughable. Then again there's people that actually pay money for a cardboard box with a cave logo on it, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

Only if you're into pomo or something similar where the "art" is actually ticking people's "social consciousness" (this is found in a specialized organ of the body analogous to the prostate) by writing long, insane tracts on whatever rages you in society; Takashi Murakami is good at this.

I dunno what this'd be worth to somebody interested in the history of video gaming; it's not relevant in that sense the original production artwork or plans for the game (i.e. something that actually has an impact on more than the person who takes it out once a year to admire, if this Cave bit even warrants that). Basically somebody's fanciful doodles, and worth relatively about as much as the Bungie doodles on that guy's 360 that got wiped by a right-thinking minimum wage earner.
