Virtua Fighter - respectable I guess, I've never gotten much enjoyment out of the series, beyond some of the music from 2.

House of the Dead - decent for a light gun game.

Sonic - Every 3d sonic has sucked, maybe not R since I haven't played that, but most of what I've heard about it hasn't been positive.

Afterburner - Just got 2 for the Saturn and I'm thoroughly unimpressed.

If Sega wanted to make a truly badass sequel, it'd have to be Alien Syndrome 2. It'd be mindlessly violent, and overall totally sweet, though instead they'd probably make it a survival horror game or some bullshit like that. Bah.

Virtua Fighter- It's a great fighting game series that most people that are into fighting games, with more depth than DOA3 or Tekken 5, throughly enjoy.

Sonic-yeah I'll agree with you here

Afterburner-the series has been complete trash lately but an Ace Combat-like sequel could be great. Remember Outrun 2 made a great comeback after many lackluster genesis ports.

The thread subject is wrong. If you're going to number, this is AfterBurner IV, since AfterBurner III was for the SegaCD.

According to Play Magazine it's all running realtime on Xbox 360, but I'm hesitant to believe that just yet until it's confirmed.

I absolutely LOVED VF and VF2, and 3 was quite good as well, but I have lost interest in the series over the years. I'll still buy VF5, though. ;)

HoTD - as you said, good for that type of game

Sonic - I disagree here; IMO, Sonic Adventure on Dreamcast was a fantastic game! It made the move to 3D more smoothly than, say, Mario 64 (I know I'm in the minority).

Afterburner - I never played the 'true' 3D version, or had any real interest in playing it, so this new instalment in the series doesn't excite me.

I hope they plan on an OutRun 3, though; OutRun 2 is highly addictive!!

I still don't know why Sonic Adventure gets so much praise. It's more cutscenes than gameplay, with an utterly horrible camera ruining any platforming goodness that might be had.

I'll agree on Outrun 2 though, very fun...

For a person who got his copy of Radiant and all his Saturn games punked by Che Chou back in the day, that Opa sure has some competent info now and then.
