Place to go for jamma kit contents?

Post by neorichieb1971 »

I was thinking today (I sometimes do this believe it or not).

My Galuda 2 kit seems to have some pretty weird contents in the box. So my question is, does the internet have a place you can go so you can see what should be inside a perfect kit?

Do these items that I cannot fathom what they are for have names?

IE. I know what a rubber suction cup is, but I don't know what its for. I don't know why there is an antenna in the box. I don't know why there is a disc piece of artwork. I don't know where to put the POP even though it looks nice.

The instructions come in Japanese, have no contents page from what I can tell. Usually the only way you can tell is when you try and sell a kit and someone moans that a sticker is missing or it doesn't have the PCB feet (Yeah I'm talking about you GP  ).

So, can we have (if it does not exist) a forum or sticky thread somewhere that has pictures and explanations of what each kit has in a brand new box and what each particular part is for (and whats its officially named).

It would help people like me that have a few kits. Especially since I have a resource to go to that makes me sound knowledgeable elsewhere. These things are quite expensive and represent the best way to enjoy shmups. So I think for the protection of its forum members something like this should be introduced quickly.

Obviously we only need the most common kits listed. Who knows whats in an R-type kit? I would stick to those kits that have been bought new by members.

Thanks for your time and consideration on this matter.

Regards,

Richie.

Kits for non-Cave and old stuff is going to be hard. Would definitely be nice. I post instruction cards on gamengai, but that's about it.

honestly im only interested in finding out what the rarer kits contain.

id prefer to not list it in a public forum tho, if anyone would care to set up a website or maybe a section at gamengai or something id happily splurge my secrets there.. the obnoxious comments about my collection i can do without.
