I don't know whether I should go for a 360 stick or a SF IV 6 button fightpad by madcatz.

If you're actually going to be using it for SFIV, I'd suggest the stick.

Some of the moves require far too many button presses at once to even be conceivable on a pad.

Depends on the SF 4 TE price, I could use that for SF4, XBL shmups and Virtua fighter 5.

EDIT: Hey TC are you going to mention the price? I see a response to a thread yet you neglect to answer a directed question in your own. I am genuinely curious about the price. It would save a trip into the city center.
