Cave poster size for frame?
Cave poster size for frame?
I have a Muchi Muchi Pork poster coming with my PCB Kit and wanted to go ahead and get a frame for it. Anyone here know what the measurements of the Muchi poster are? Thanks.

This says "Japanese B1", it seems that's 40 inches x 29 inches but you might want to ask wherever you're getting the frame from, assuming that's the poster you're getting.

Yeah the Muchi Muchi Pork kit came today and it is an odd size. Doesn't exactly fit any of the frames I have here. I'll figure something out, but I don't see a custom frame in my future.

Just like with the odd-ball sized Working Designs/Taito Raystorm poster, no standard frames would fit it (except to trim off an inch or so on both the top and bottom portions of the poster to fit in a standard 36 x 24 poster sized frame but that option was a no-go anyways). So the only remedy was to go with professional custom framing service. Chose Aaron Bros. Art Mart with their reputable custom framing service...the final price was easily over $200.00+ USD but with a handy 20% discount coupon, it came down to about $178.00 USD before adding in the sales tax. Otherwise, I would've had not gone the custom framing service route if it wasn't for that percentage off coupon deal. Sometimes, you gotta bite the bullet and pay through the nose if you want the finer things in life with things such as custom framing service...it's a "one-time" deal anyways. ^_~Dave_K. wrote:Its 40"1/2 x 28"3/4. There are no premade US frames that fit this, so you will have to get a custom frame built. Expect to pay out the ass for this.
The custom framing is all solid black colored metalliac frame (it would've increased the price even more if I had decided to go with UV protection glass option but politely declined that expensive sales pitch and chose the plain standard glass presentation option instead). The framing lady that had done the custom framing of my beloved PSX Raystorm poster, she did an awesome job. I was all big smiles upon seeing it for the first time. ^_~
Corbie, you should seriously consider giving custom framing service another consideration. If you're willing to pay good $$$ for arcade gaming related goods, why not spend a bit more and see that your Cave MMP poster is professionally framed for posterity. You do get what you pay for...that is a given. ^_~
I recall that fellow shmupper undamned got a really good discount on getting his Mars Matrix arcade poster custom framed with that sexy red-colored metalliac frame setup.

do what I did, just go buy some plexi and make a frame.... I could never shell out over 200 for a frame..... that's a good chunk towards a new PCB.
to each his own though.

Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?
