Recently picked up a used japanese ps2 w/ mushi and espgaluda from a really nice seller on these forums.
btw, I'm playing the games on a 32" vizio.
However, I'm having a bit of a problem w/ espgaluda when I attempt to change the view under settings. There is "Monitor Setting" and "View Setting". Both default YOKO. If I try to change the view out of YOKO, absolutely nothing happens and I lose the cursor. The image does not change. I can hear the noise/music (and my character dying) in the background but the settings menu remains on the screen and I cannot navigate out of it. The only way to resolve the issue is to restart the ps2.
Mushi works fine when I alter the view settings. As do all my DC games. It's only with Espgaluda that I encounter this issue.
Has anyone else encountered this problem or know why this may be happening?
Thank You

In TATE mode, ESPGALUDA diplays true 240p. Does your monitor support it?

Nice. The answer(s), I was looking for. It's really not a big deal. I occasionally like to rotate the tv. I'll just live with it as it.
On a side note, I noticed a huge graphical improvement when I adjusted my tv setttings from "wide" to "normal". Game looks really good...
