Any info on "Yoshida Konzern" for MSX2?

Post by 320x240 »

This seems to be something like SEUCK or Dezaemon but for the MSX2.

Here's a clip from a vert made with this tool. Looks kinda fun and lots better than any SEUCK game. Music and sound will drive you insane.

If you search for the name in Japanese, there's a bit more info on it; the Japanese name is apparently:

吉田コンツェルン

It seems like it was made by "MSX Magazine" - I don't know if that was the name of a company or if that was an actual magazine and they released it with an issue or what. It seems like the group that made it released a couple game-making programs, I'm unclear as to whether they're all shmup-related or not. Will post again if I find out more.

Well, whaddya know, I found more. I'm not positive if this is a separate release or if the same "game" exists under more than one name, but there's a program called Yoshida Kensetsu that does pretty much the same thing and I found actual pics of it. See here: http://gyusyabu.ddo.jp/MP3/1989/YOSH1.html .

Note that Yoshida Kensetsu is also the name of a real construction company that's still in business, which makes googling for this program messy.

Somewhat-but-not-really-related: someone made a list of shmups for the MSX, not sure how complete it is but there's a lot on here: http://www.jan.sakura.ne.jp/~snog/stg/msx.html .

And finally... searching for this made me rediscover just how awful most Japanese websites are.
