thinking about buying a arcade stick

Post by alits »

Hey guys I am new around here and I am thinking of getting an arcade stick. I am just think I am gonna use this stick on the pc even though I have a 360. The sticks that I was looking at were the hori real arcade pro 3 and the regular street fighter 4 stick for the 360. I was just looking for some feedback so I can get the best deal.

There is no thinking about, only doing.

...I hear the HRAP series sticks are okay for fighters, but there's lots of threads on the matter here and in the Off Topic subforum, do a 'site:http://shmups.system11.org/ joysticks' search in Google to see what's been discussed over the years.

The recommended choices usually seem to be $100+ sticks though, so beware. I still haven't shucked the cash to get a proper one myself (at least not a proper joystick for MAME and the like - I have a few good older sticks for platforms I never play).

Edit: Actually, brokenhalo has some good suggestions for a cheap Street Fighter 4 stick in this thread:

Might do that myself sometime.

I made a thread about this a few weeks ago asking people the same question.

Check here: http://shmups.system11.org/viewtopic.php?t=24316

From that, I think I'm going to go with the standard edition SF IV and just mod it myself. Seems easy enough and the TE is impossible to find.
