Should I Make A Thunder Force V -ARRANGED- Youtube Vid????

Post by ThunderForce 222 »

I was wondering if it would be worth it for all you Thunder Force Fans if I made an ARRANGED Thunder Force V video...

I have replaced all the music in The SATURN version with other Hyakutaru Tsukumo Music and I have edited some tunes length for effect: i.e. I spliced -ATTACK POINT FOR R.V.R. SERIES- off of Broken Thunder so it would go right into the guitar solo after one repitition on the stage select. Plus I did that with Steel of Desrtiny (Original Song Version- Off of Lost Technology Plus- for The Sword Fleet..Ya'll will like what I have done. with that tune.

Plus....Also I REALLY want to show the community how I play TFV...I never EVER did get to show it off 9 years ago at the Working Designs TFV Tournament. The Tounry DID happen, but at the last minute WD decided to do the whole thing Via VIDEO TAPE...LAME...I never got to show my skills of the R.V.R.-01 GAUNTLET....

Yes....I did win the 10,000$ but I so badly wanted to be crituqed by others.

I really want to know what people think about the way I play it. I will be using the Saturn Version..for SEVERAL REASON'S....Obvious and not so obvious. I am about to deploy on my second tour overseas...1st was Afghanistan now comes the big one..Iraq. I am currently In the Oregon Army National Guard, but as of next year I will be ACTUVE DUTY ARMY.

So post back and tell if it's worth it to you guys and I will make it.

Stupid thread is stupid.
Get your video done and -after that- make a thread.

PS: Using CAPSLOCK for EMPHASIS is really ANNOYING.

My point is, if he wants to make the video he should make it and not depend on a "yay" or "nay" from random people on the internet he doesn't know.
But this looks like "i haven't done anything yet but can i get praise please?".

Someone tell me what "Arranged" means.

And yes, make the video.

Well, actually, I have. I have taken the time out of my busy schedule, to re-record some tracks...brainstorm on which tracks I want to use for certain stages..trust me..it's not easy coming up with perfect alternate stage music...Tsukumo has SO many great tracks from other games (Hyper Duel/Blast Wind/Best Of Thunder Force CD/Broken Thunder...... ALTHOUGH The Music I used for Armament Armed Arm (A3) is from Thunder Force VI:The Legend Of The Wings.....I used Barbaric Beserk Beast (B3) by Tamayo Kawamoto.

As far as me calling it ARRANGED, that means "re-done to improve on the existing title" like in the Dracula X Chronicles for PSP....The re-done version of Rondo Of Blood is called "ARRANGED" Mode. That has been common throught gaming history.

I have done alot to come up with a video that is a compilation of the PS/Saturn Version. I cut some CG scenes here and there, added some extras for viewing pleasure.

The Thing is....I have to record/splice and re-record and spend hours making just right. That takes alot of time. It took me 5 months of brainstorming justto come up with a final product (On paper) of how it's to be edited. I really don't have much time left as I am to leave late March. After that, once I get in Country I will be wayyyyyy to busy to finish it.

Plus....If I don't get my gameplay of Thunder Force V out there and something terrible happens, I want it to be shown that there was at least 1 game out there that no person could ever match or play as well as me...LOLOLO....Say what you want about that statement, but deep down EVERYbody wishes that there was one thing that no one could do better than them.

I guess this was real then. I know a guy who claims he got 3rd in this tourney. How come they don't hold such tournies anymore? or do they? 10,000 is quite a bit for a niche genre.

As other's said, stop typing and get to editing!

Was his name "Gerald Guess" --"Michael Pirring" Or "Jeff Yonan"? I met Gerald Guess at a Triple Threat Capcom Tourney in Portland,OR. It Was MVC2-SFIII-3rd Strike and CVS2. He was from Washington somwhere.

Why in the hell are you writing so much about this? Nobody actually cares, just do it and people will watch and enjoy it or don't and nobody will. This is so completely meaningless.

Well, I have gotten the order of things I am adding in to the whole thing but the editing is a bitch. especially When You Are doing all the editing by VCR, Burned DVD's, and Windows Sound recorder. The only easy thing will be the actual Game itself. What has been the most trying is editing and splicing in the voice tracks into the music. I've been using several different shooters and movies, all to sound like each other. I have been mainly using the voice tracks from -Air Gallet-. I want the it to sound like the whole 222nd Tactical R.V.R. Fighter Wing are communicating. It's kinda like making a movie. :D

Haha, and this post has meaning? I was saying his question is totally meaningless, and if you disagree, you probably have brain damage. Learn to deal with the fact that sometimes it's ok to post something vaguely negative.

Hey, ya'll...:) Sorry my posts are longed and have abit more than ya'll care about..but I just like to talk with other people and get some laughs from other SHMUP FREAKS!!!! I just like the fellowship...

AS far as stupid post's go...I have Seen ALOT dumber..besides...That is why it's called SHMUP chat..to post and discuss these things..even if they are stupid.

I like to talk about stupid shit...stuff that makes people smile and laugh. Obviously that one person who has nothing better to do with his time than give his jaded opinion on "Stupid Posts" has never been deployed. Trust Me....you really appreciate the stupid things in life..believe when I say..nothing is trivial.

Oh and by the by...I would smash that guy at just about ANY shooter.

Working with the free open source software "Audacity" would probably be better than Windows Sound Recorder if you need more precision. Don't think there's anything like Adobe Premiere as far as open source stuff but Virtualdub might do a few handy things (also free.) Go easy on yourself and see what's out there to make it all more managable first...

Well, I would really love to knowif there is an easier way to Splice MP4 Video. All of te FMV stuff I got from Youtube. If I could do that it would make things MUCH easier. I have looked around for something like that but to no avail. Also..I would like a non-demo free version of this software

As fas as Splicing in voice tracks into the music, that might take some time, to find te VT's I want and put them all together.

If ya'll are a bit curious on what Tsukumo tracks I have decided on, I'll reveal one stage...

Stage 1 (Or 3 in my level selection) "No Blue"
TRACK -FIRE LEO-05p "SYRINX"
ALBUM -Broken Thunder-

Just Listen to that track when playing that stage. IT's PERFECT IN EVERY SINGLE WAY!! I think that was an alternate to"Legendary Wings. It's starts perfect and ends perfect It buildsup in the stage exactly where it should..I could go on...

But seriously, TF222, a replay from TF5 remixed or not would be awesome. Go for it.
