But apparently quite alot of people can beat the default high score on Galaga with their feet. If you get through the challenge mode of stage 3, you should beat it.
So fellow shmuppers with joysticks. Your quest awaits.
This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.
I've got to try this. Maybe the next evolution of double play uses feet as well, either P1 hands + P2 feet or P1 & P2 hands + P3 feet (triple play!).
While eating a sandwich and faffing around with Batrider, I came up with the idea of an aura-only challenge (so your button hand can be used for the sandwich). I haven't yet cleared the first boss playing that way, though. Can any of you do better?
I can definitely do it. All you gotta do is kill all but one of the first stage enemies and let the last one come down the screen 255 times or more, then kill it with your feet and nothing shoots you for the rest of the game->easy counter stop.

Holy shit, people still play Galaga??? Even I'm bored with that game. I'll be over here continuing my mad love affair with Xevious.
EDIT: And Exed Exes, a game that STILL doesn't get the respect it deserves. And Star Soldier the OG edition (NES).
hehe yeah it's a funny shot. She often looks doped in pics.
When firing fast she would unconsciously tap her fingers as if they were on the buttons. Some sort of mental assist or side effect caused by concentration.
Hmm... does this challenge absolutely have to use a joystick?
Seems to me that another alternate using-the-foot controller could be one of those dance pads or dance mats (left/right arrow to move the ship, upper left arrow/X button fires).

That's what we need, Dance mat shmups! Get fit the STG way!
It won't work with Namco 50th Anniversary for the PS2 though. I tried using a Cobalt Flux dance controller but it said no controller detected (it is specifically looking for a dual shock controller or joystick).
The highest score I ever got using a joystick with this challenge, after four tries, was 24,710 at stage 4 before I got game over.
