I almost vomited from laughter (not from gore) a few times. I've never laughed that hard at any movie, my abs still hurt from being hunched over ROFLing. At least download it or something. I want to say more but i don't want to spoil anything, so just watch the trailer

Looks fun. The japanese always seem to come up with the best, most over the top fucking ridiculous violence.

That Machine Girl stuff looks like the Japanese equivalent to Troma.

Good to see a few people are enjoying this movie after allNecronopticous wrote:This is the greatest film on Earth.
Tokyo Gore Police was the best movie of 2008. The whole freak club scene was just so insane, the police boss' amputee s/m pet with the swords for limbs and a manic/depressive switch in the back = pure genius, and the in-movie ads like the one Necronopticous posted... just brilliant! Even the music was great.
Machine Girl has a lot of memorable scenes (finger sushi, anyone?), but somehow the movie as a whole doesn't work as well. Anyway, a must-see.
Another somewhat similar movie is Meatball Machine, it has a more coherent story and not so much humor, but the cheapo crazy-ass gore scenes are there. See how some little demoniac creatures turn human beings into their mechas!

Before Pope John Paul died he decreed that Aliens were also GOD's creatures and we should treat them with respect.

I logged in to Netflix to add it to my queue, and it was right on the front page as a recommendation from Netflix.

I was actually one of the interpreters for the director when he came to the U.S. for Fantastic Fest here in Austin. Got to see Tokyo Gore Police on the big screen, still haven't seen Machine Girl. Crazy movie and hilarious guy.
He also runs the Gore Effects company that made everything in this movie possible. IIRC, he said he used over 8 tons of blood in the production. Other notables: he did the make-up for "L" in the Death Note films and created the fake penises for a series of girl-on-girl Soft on Demand flicks.

I let a co-worker known as "crazy haiti" borrow the dvd the other day. He disapproved of the movie saying it was just bad, but still couldn't deny it's hilarity. He then pretended to cut his wrist yelling happy cutter. You'd think someone who chases, attacks, and talks to their own reflection in a public bathroom to scare people would have approved of this movie, but i guess not.
