How much money do you earn?
How much money do you earn?
Let's not use this for waggling, but rather just a comparison. Of course no direct comparisons can be made because every market is different/cost of living/etc... But it still could give us an interesting idea..
Optionally you can post how old you are too
$14.46 / hourly / 27 years old (US dollars)

If more 2D people would go to the 2D Gaming Forum, there would be more people to talk about 2D games with other 2D fans on the tootie gaming forum. It's 2Dlicious. For real yall

Not enough before I got laid off. Now I'm lucky to clear 300 a week contracting. Part of this is because of the lousy economy in the US right now and part of it is my general inexperience at getting and handling gigs.
I have also found out I am a horrible boss and a really lazy employee. I tell me to go study up on Cisco wireless stuff and then I'm still playing a videogame an hour later. I need to hire better employees...

Proud citizen of the American Empire!
I make little enough that I'm fairly sure I'm under the poverty line.

I make more, but benefits rob me pretty decently. Darn that expensive healthcare. I can't complain though, at least I have insurance, even if it is taking food off my table.

Rougly $1300 a month as a student (used to be more before our currency got weak compared to the dollar with the financial crisis) I try to work extra now and then, so it's usualy a little more.
In the wonderful country of Sweden we actualy get paid by the goverment to study at the university (no university fees either), some of the money is considerd a loan though and will have to be repayed (in small amounts luckily) when my studies are completed. We are indeed, a spoiled people.

I'm a sysadmin for a small rural hospital in the middle of nowhere, so my comparison is probably small, but I gross a bit over $40K annually. That's probably half of what sysadmins make in much larger communities or corporate markets, at least based on what I've found based on what little research I've done. Of course, the cost of living where I'm at is also incredibly low, so the national US credit crunch hasn't affected me that much - I'm somewhat insulated from the more immediate effects.
Two part time jobs, one $8 an hour and $9.75 or $10 depending on what shift I'm working. Good thing about living in a state with no income or sales tax.

I'm not giving exact figures but between £20k and £30k, which means i'm comfortable. I'm more than twice some of your ages though. If your not earning more than me when your my age consider yourself a failure.
I'm not married, but sometimes it helps. Depends if your mrs likes shoes or not.

This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.
Fuck that shit. I almost went to grad school on Long Island but didn't feel like being totally raped for rent.lawnspic wrote: i live on LI NY

Oh I make under minumum wage (2.88) for the Sheltered Workship. I keep telling myself the more my percentile goes up the more money I can get.
and when I reach 75 percent, I can leave that goddamned LD ROOM because seriously that job is making me into an asshole. I hate the some of the retards who work there. They suck shit through a straw.
Oh btw, if you saying I should quit. I can't. Because if I do, I'm screwed. I will lose on help finding a job and going to college. SO
Oh and fuck this economy. Fuck the recession. Fuck it right in it's ear.

It doesn't mater if I state my financial informations, people will find 66 sources to say I make what ever amount they want to believe… people already feel I am overpaid…
Nevertheless, I'll likely be with out a job before long making 0¢

It's not as big of a secret when you make basically nothing.gabe wrote:Me too.GaijinPunch wrote:I guess I will wallow in my yearly salary, no compensation for overtime (and there's plenty) but get a good bonus job then.
SIDE NOTE: I'm amazed at how many people are willing to share this information. My yearly income is one of my most closely guarded secrets.

I'm not even a college student. I'm married and I make nothing. But cost of living here is cheap enough that it's not 'too' bad.
When I lived in the states I made 11K a year once....that was the most ever....followed by about 5K the year after
Now that I live in Canada, I make about 47K/year (around $19.50/hr + OT and shift premiums). I work in auto parts...but for a non-union Jp owned company. We've been hit by the crunch...but we're not going out of business or anything. I have 11 unpaid days off between late Dec. and the month of January...but my job appears to be secure unless the economy completely collapses. We make parts mainly for Toyota and Honda.
I'm also married, have a mortgage and a car payment. No kids though, and my wife works as well...so combined we make almost 75K/year. I'm still broke though.....putting money into registered retirement savings plans, mutual funds, and general spending. Doesn't leave me with a lot....but I'm what I'd consider well-off compared to most people around my area
