You get keys which open the front doors, or rear depending on the cabinet.
There is a harness inside which ends in a jamma connector. You just slot the jamma pcb onto the harness and switch the cabinet on.
Press the test button found inside the cabinet and hold it down. You will now see the PCB settings menu. Here you select freeplay, coins per credit, how many lives, difficulty. You can also test joystick response and graphics display. Once you've done that select exit with the joystick and it will save the new settings.
At this point the PCB reboots and the game should start with your new settings. Most PCB's have a tiny plastic screw on them, this adjusts the line level volume output, so adjust to a reasonable level.
If the PCB has no freeplay option, use the keys to open the coin door and press the button called "service", this enters credits on most games. Or you can flick the wire that senses coins on the coin mech.
Press start, and start playing.
