Armed Policed Batrider - version A or B?

I read that only version B supports the C button for switching option formations. Well that must be incorrect because I own the version A that can do the same thing. Since mine supports 3 buttons already is there any point to updating to version B?

The problem was that version A has to have three buttons but was marked as only needing two; version B was changed to allow for two or three button setups. I don't see why you would want to change, but I don't know everything about the differences between them.
