I think my invisible, off-screen mothership blew up .. OH NOES :S

Also I can't get my joystick to work with it. Does it require a keyboard to joystick program?

Yeah, already spammed the DS forums with a thread about the game and epic overloads. This definitely goes to my "to buy list" as soon as it comes out.

Epic shootan gaem is epic. I appreciate the mechas, missile barrages/lock-on madness and the Homeworld engine. It's pretty much all the stuff I love.

Let me see, I remember all the development screens:

1st level is the one we already know: cloudy scene and epic 2D boss mecha goodness with creepy "hand extended towards the sun" ending when you beat it.

Then I saw a "dusk-like" scene where purple seems to be the predominant colour and a black mech similar to the melée mech (Nullpunktur) shows up.

Space scene with fleets and ships firing everywhere (the one that gave away the use of the Homeworld engine) and the missile barrages.

"Factory"/tube-like scene which seems to be taking place in some sort of industrial interior, pretty much like Stage 5 from Ether Vapor.

I think there must be at least one more we didn't see so that would make roughly 5-6 stages?

Thank you for the link. :D

This game is great, and a new level is even greater. I remember having an awesome battle for top spot on the last demo he released (back in January) with some guy, and then out of nowhere this other guy shows up with an incredible run and destroys both our scores.

I'm not too excited about the giant DAMAGED box that pops up when you let an enemy past you though. It covers up anything behind it, which is often me and is just plain ugly. Please remove this, and read this, whoever you are that is developing this game!

And it looks like there will be 5 stages from the stage select screen. There are 3 shaded boxes that you can't select.

Count me in. Enjoyed the last demo quite a bit. Wonder what the purchase options will be when the full version is released.

Which mech is best? Some people seem to favor Nullpunktur (the sword mech)

Yup, that mech has a two-hit slash that pretty much destroys everything if you have the skill to pin point enemies.

The other one has the advantage of distance but since you will be always at top speed, shooting down enemies and stuff as fast and efficiently as you can...

Man, I love how you see your allies fighting in the background or suddenly appearing next to you only to get pwned.

Definitely amazing and badass bosses are welcomed. SHE'S LOST CONTROL, which by the way reminds me of Viper II from Virtual-ON and the attack with the same name.

I'm better with the PLG. Can't get used to that sword.

The one thing I hate about this game is setting the mothership energy to infinite means no getting on the internet ranking. There should be a seperate scoreboard or something.

Also I think you have to have boosters on pretty much all the time because I ran out of time before I could beat the stage 1 boss :(

Set your money, date and hour settings to Japan, it's the infamy of the mathematical assault all over again. (Assault Armoroid Angerio, the Miku doujin game and the Rozen Maiden shooter all suffer the same issue)

Good luck and hope that solves it.

Game is freaking kickass. The new stage is amazing.

I can't recall where I read it but it had to do with certain code and operations that can only bee executed when your computer is set to the propber numbering mode. In this case, the japanese mode. The key was that if you get an error with an exe indicating any sort of numbers (especially "0.5") that's the typical error involving mathematical operation.

Try running Rozen Diadem or the Hatsune Miku shooters. They all require a flash-like engine called "Tonyu System". This Tonyu thing is japanese only, thus, it won't run properly until you can make it do all the math with japanese settings. I did a quick google search and came up with something about "division by zero" error.

As odd as it sounds.

Anyway, these are the settings I touched (I already have the Unicode progs set to Japan as well, plus all the fonts installed) but beware as I have the WinXP in spanish.

It is still a little nuisance after all, considering PC doujin stuff is region free and often copy protection free. Samidare's disc tells you to just copy the files from the CD to the disc... there you have the "oh so hard" installation.

Learn from Japan, EA. (couldn't resist some missiles at EA :P )

Awesome!

I suppose it's a fool's game to hope against hope that a downloadable version will be sold on the net, like Exception. Here's another ridiculous amount of cash to Himeya.

It is getting a downloadable version.

ダウンロード版
1575円(税込)

The cheaper. Dunno where it will be uploaded. DLsite? Melonbooks dojin broadband service?

パッケージ版
1890円(税込)

The "package/boxed" version will come out in 2009 for 1890 yen.

Hooray!

All we need now is a page with instructions on how to actually navigate the DL site if you're a non-japanese speaker.

Ran just fine on my ugly American version of Win XP. I just installed the Japanese code software. Lets me run doujins and doesn't affect my English programs at all

Control Panel > Date Time and Language Settings > Regional and Language Options > Advanced Tab, then check the Japanese code conversion box. You'll need your Win XP disc handy.

Note that this doesn't let you run most doujin patch files, for some reason. For those you'll need to use Applocale.

The page that the first post in this thread links to has a Japanese/English language option at the top right-hand side.
The trial download link now works from the English language page but only promises a downloadable full version at 1575 yen. There's no mention of a hardcopy there. Guess that's what the "1898" bit means on the japanese page then...Good job we've got some japanese speakers on this forum :D

I had the same problem, but I got it to work by turning Extra Effects off. Works fine with an English XP then.

Game will be out in december as a digital download (probably DLsite, Messe Sanoh or Melonbooks Dojin Broadband Service) for 1.5k yen and in a boxed, retail edition in 2009 after C75.

Time for the epic overload. OMFG CLOUDPHOBIA.

By the way, guys, Marsbound fixed the trial.

Now it works without regional settings or anything else!

Just out of interest what's C75? I see Exception is billed as C73 and a lot of Doujins have these C numbers. What are they....he asked ignorantly...
