actually 2 games, Kuma Soldier and Super Star Soldier 3D
Kuma Soldier and Super Star Soldier 3D are two projects completely different.
Kuma Soldier was only a demo "Time Attack" from the Tetsujin and converted for the Tetsujin FX.
Super Star Soldier 3D was developped in 3D real time (the third picture) :
Tetsujin (aka Iron Man) was a prototype NEC/Hudson board shown in 1992 that was to be a 2D & 3D game machine. The 3D graphics portion was cut out, the FMV capabilities were increased and the redesigned system was released as PC-FX in 1994.
Was this cancelled PC-FX game the basis for the N64 Star Soldier: Vanishing Earth game?
You might recall that SS:VE was released earlier on Seta's Aleck64 arcade mobo setup and is regarded as the only arcade shmup title released for that particular mobo platform. ^_~

That I do not know. I think the N64 game was a totally new clean-sheet project. Since most of the info on the canceled PC-FX games are in Japanese, it makes it harder to find things out.
I used to have a mint boxed PC-FX unit with a couple games. I never managed to own the real expensive ones as I couldn't track them down. I have no idea why I owned one... I was a weird sucker a few years back. Managed to sell it on ebay and broke even on it.

Hah, I was totally opposite (though just as sucker-ish if not more), having owned Zeroigar with the plan of getting a system later. That never happened and I ended up selling the game at about a $60 loss. I paid for a MagicEngineFX license after that and downloaded the game and played it two or three times. Not really worth it all IMO. I'd probably play Can Can Bunny Extra DX more than Zeroigar.
