Best PC arena shooter?

Post by Spacehog »

Hi,
what you guys think are the best pc arena shooters?

Everyday shooter or geometry wars retro evolved? Anything else good out there?

Any chance for retro 2 to come to PC?

Freeware:

"Echoes" which has also some Asteroids gameplay mixed into its dna
and
"Torque" which has a very fresh shooting mechanic

Great, will try the free ones out and buy everyday shooter soon. At the moment I only have retro evolved.
Is the xbox controller the best dual stick pad for this kind of games on pc? Now I am using a digital pad which is fine but analog should be better I guess...

I still really like Crimsonland. The slow-pace mixed with the massive amount of enemies on screen is unique and the level-up mechanic adds a bit of depth as well. Pretty cool.
