i'm kinda speechless, so much ass was kicked it's almost not funny:

This comes on the heels of another episode triggered by Chris Matthews' Hardball show, which has had all sorts of fallout as a result.

An epic season indeed. My only worry is that this will let the right paint Matthews as a hardcore leftist.

If Matthews is a "hardcore leftist" then I'm Michael Freakin' Savage. Just because he's starting to state the obvious now doesn't mean that I've forgotten the utter bullsh*t that he recited about Al Gore in 2000 - do a little research, and recall how the number of buttons on his jacket "proved" that Gore was a serial liar, worse than Slick Willy, even. Like much of the rest of the press, Matthews is utterly soulless when it comes to actually wanting to put relevant, factual information out there - he follows whatever media trend is popular at the moment (fictional Gore-bashing then, factual McCain-bashing now), and then becomes yet another rat from a sinking ship when the wind changes. He's paid way too much for far too little work by a conservative corporate icon to be anything else. After his past performances, whatever he says from now until doomsday will probably not be enough to make me take anything he says seriously.
