Hi, I need some help...

... ok this is stupid but I need some one to tell me the name of a game. It has a few distinctions, the vehicle is a fighter jet, top down view action, 16-bit first levels I see water and shore lines even a little desert. The ship hull points are located on a small bar to the right of the screen that reaches all the way to the top, yellow or color changing and can expand into armor and such. The thing that grabs me the most is the fact I can buy my weapons at anytime by landing.

Pretty much definitely Raptor. Sweet game too, even with the health bars. Not that I approve of health bars, but for its day... pretty sweet game. I got plenty of kicks out of it as a kid.

By the by, if you like that check out Tyrian. Even better, load up Tyrian and type in 'destruct' at the title screen -- I think I spent more time in that mini-game than I ever spent playing Tyrian.
