Are you tall?
Are you tall?
Fact is, people are taller and taller. At 6'2'' I'm the shortest boy in my family, and it seems pretty much every guy my age -almost 30- I know is 6'+. Is the average shmup aficionado short, tall or average height?

This topic all but reminds me of this:

I bet at least half the people here have no idea what those numbers you posted mean. Please keep in mind that the rest of the world got rid of these medivel systems of measurement.
Funny: "International System of Units is the primary or sole system of measurement for all nations except for Myanmar, Liberia and the United States". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metric_system

Re: Are you tall?
I'm close to being 6'2''. My older brother is 6'6'', so we do have a lot of height in our family.KindGrind wrote:Fact is, people are taller and taller. As far as forum members go, remember the photo of Kiken? I'd say he's probably about the tallest guy on here!

Tall is a relative term: Average Height Around the World
I'm about 6'3" or 6'4", but in my family that's about average height for a guy (if that). Even all the women in my family are like 5'10" to 6'0".
Having said that, here are the metric numbers from my post:
5'10" = 177.80 cm
6'0" = 182.88 cm
6'3" = 190.50 cm
6'4" = 193.04 cm
*Okay, I made that up. But off the top of my head, half sounds about right.

Also keep in mind that half the board is in the US*, and thus uses this medieval system, for better or for worse (okay, just for worse). The government tried phasing in the metric system several decades ago, but alas, we are fat, lazy, stupid Americans.Ceph wrote:Please keep in mind that the rest of the world got rid of these medivel systems of measurement.
