Vista and hrap3

Post by talz13 »

I just got vista 32bit installed (long story, involving AHCI and linux...), but my hrap3 isn't working! It shows up in the device manager and game controllers in control panel, and even shows the stick moving and buttons being pressed, but nothing will see the input! (except for the calibrate button in game controllers). JoyToKey and mame both fail to notice any activity from the stick.

Any advice?

hrap3 is a p.o.s. sell it to me.

what do you mean by involving linux? VMWare? or is vista booting directly?

Vista is booting directly (from grub), the linux thing was just relating to drivers not supporting my hdd controller in IDE mode, only AHCI worked, so I had to go with vista for the moment for driver support. If/when the next ubuntu comes out, if it supports it in regular IDE mode I will be going back and installing XP on here instead. At least the hrap3's work on my XP laptop.

Hmm, I'm really not sure what I did... but it appears to be functioning now! No idea at all why it decided to start working!

1) What release of Ubuntu did you try?

2) What's your motherboard?

3) Ubuntu releases come out every 6 months, and their version number are based on the date of release. The current version is 8.04 (2008, April), and the next version will be 8.10 (2008, October), due October 30 (just less than 3 weeks from now, at time of writing).
