Having an absolutely terrible day only to come home to...

have your novice ass handed to you by Mars Matrix and DoDonPachi is not a good way to end the day =|

>forces self not to smash controller to bits<

On a positive note, I love MM...despite how difficult I'm finding it

I too am unable to choose less than 'fucking difficult' hard games. Its worth it in the end.

Hmmm, I was thinking about playing MM tonight, but now I read this thread and have second thoughts. Maybe ESPGaluda will put me in a better mood.

I'm finding all these games to be incredibly satisfying to play and get better at. ESPECIALLY DoDon, Progear, and Mars Matrix. I've gotten to the point in both DDP and MM where I can consistently do the first levels without dieing, but I'm having a fucking hard time getting the combo systems down enough to the point where I can get decent combos going.

Your story remind me of myself w/ Chaos Field; It gets really but I can't stop playing it. I usually don't play manics , but Chaos field is trully brillant.

Well, it's better than getting smashed to bits by Space Megaforce...

To go OT for a sec, I got my 4th DDP clear today!

I find DDP to be really playable, and really refined. I truly think it's one of the best in the genre. trying to play without using bombs is when it gets really difficult, though.

Mars Matrix on the other hand, i can't get into it. I seriously suck at that one.

I got smashed to bits by Space Megaforce

I thought I was going to one-life Final Soldier on my first try too, but then I stupidly lost all my lives halfway through the game :(

Want a hard shmup to brake your nervers?
Try Project X on the AMIGA not the Special Edition '93 though, that's easier.

To get good at Mars takes a few months at least, not one night. :?
Just stick with it and dont give up.
