I've got a PAL Saturn modded with a switch to allow it to play NTSC discs fullscreen.I've got a Jap and a US version of Darius Gaiden but with the console set to fullscreen 60Hz NTSC display, the screen flickers and jumps rather offputtingly with either disc but when it's set to the 50Hz PAL output then there's no problem (apart from the hideous black borders and slowdown of course!). This doesn't happen with any of my other NTSC Saturn discs which all play fullscreen on the 60Hz setting with a nice stable picture.
Why is this?Surely darius Gaiden doesn't have a graphics output at a different frequency from all other Japanese and US games...or is it that it will only play at 50Hz regardles on an originally PAL machine.
