It seems that the Japanese Wii is all kanji, which is going to make it harder than hell to download Japanese Virtual Console games.
OK, here's the controversial question, and I hope this thread doesn't get locked for it.
Can I just buy a U.S. Wii, get it modded, and download the VC games I want from the internet and play them on my Wii, regardless of region?
I would like to pay for the Japanese Wii's game service, but i'm not goin to learn Japanese to do it.

I just get really frustrated that I am totally willing to purchase these games, but they won't let me. And then I have to go through these means that they consider bad to get these games.
