I've pretty much weaned myself off these forums as I felt they were wasting away time every day so I won't be back to check this thread but I thought it would be important to notify you all of this important emulation news
but honestly...why emulate stuff you can run on the actual hardware...
Because it runs fine on my PC and looks even better than the real thing.
It's next to impossible to get a good vga box for the DC, so i have mine connected via RGB. Looks incredibly bad on my HDTV. :<
Are there component cables for the DC? ^^"
Edit: just had the crazy idea to start a thread in the trading station
Strange decision, with regard to emulators. They're nearly all for Windows. I wonder why they choose to program these things for an operating system that's not free?
How many of them use emulators, though? If you can configure an emulator then you can install Ubuntu alongside Windows. There's no barrier to installing Linux now. It's easy and it's free. Windows is neither easy nor free. Times have changed. More Linux emulators, please.
Only reason I'd be interested is that they will eventually add the fighters to GGPO. That will be awesome! Other than the new shooter (can't recall the name) pretty much all of them ar on Sega Dreamcast I think.
Oh snap, Dynamite Dekka EX. Has anyone tried that yet?

Sega didn't see Component Video as a viable option for it's Dreamcast even though the emerging Component Video standards were started a year earlier with the five BNC type connection started with Sony Corp. of Japan. I see how Sony wanted to give it's PS2 console Component Video from the get-go and they did so.
I suppose such an RGB cable hacked out to Component Video could work for the DC but that would be some work.
