Did we ever look into importing TV's (attn Undamned)

OMGTEHEBAY

This one is old and scummy and does not appear to have SCART but it's barely more expensive than a Commodore monitor and if they're mostly the same price you could find yourself a nice 32" (X centimeter?) TV and wouldn't go broke slowly by needing people to make you cables for your stewpid RGB monitor, you could just get SCART cables from any European shop

Just a thought as I prepare to purchase a sweet Super NES setup

And then a SCART to db8 adapter would be even more badassical...except that still doesn't give you the extra foot of screen importing a TV would

? I don't see any connector inputs anywhere!
But indeed, I would recommend going this route and get one with SCART, or get one of those video monitors used by video editing companies, rental companies that rent them out for demo's, exhibitionsm, etc. Check your local market place.
At one time I actually started a thread to count interest in exporting tv's from Europe to the us, but no-one even cared.
The shippin costs will be killer high.
And you know what, every US tv can be modded with rgb inputs, so there's another option for you.

Multisystems don't have SCART sockets on them at all. It just means it will accept NTSC and PAL signals via any input on the TV. I have friends that have owned many multisystem TV's and NONE of them have SCARTS.

If you want a SCART CRT TV, the UK is throwing them away now for nothing. So you could get away with paying £10 and shipping for any TV you like really. The UK only buys LCD and Plasma now and the CRT selection in shops is about the size of the banana section of the supermarket.

This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

It's funny to see idiots trying to sell 4:3 CRT TVs for €250 on marktplaats.nl. Anything more than "free pickup" is a rip-off at this point.
