Oh Shi-! M2 games!
Re: Oh Shi-! M2 games!
Neat. If there was some software support (and good controllers, which the M2 3DO may or may not have had) this would be a decent system to have. Looks better all-around than the N64, especially the textures..
I'm in the midst of selling my FZ-35S to a guy, and I sent him along the link (with the disclaimer that it probably won't ever be available for that system, but we all knew that).

Funny, although they mention that collision wasn't implemented yet.Daigohji wrote:Looks like we missed out on a whole load of clipping through walls and swinging swords at fireplaces...
I noticed a comment on one of the videos comparing these to Voodo-equipped PCs.
It probably would have been a great value for gamers, but I don't think it was such a giant step ahead that it would've supported new types of game. It would've been a half-step towards the last generation (PS2/GC/Xbocks) and that's it. Any game that could've been made on it would've likely been possible on the N64 and PlayStation, unless they were going to fit DVD onto this system (which is possible; DVD was mentioned as a use for the technology back when Matsushita bought the chip in 1995).
Good article here btw:

Kinda reinforces the sort of "me too" mentality that Matsushita / Panasonic apparently suffered from during the period when they bought the M2.
