Madworld for da Wii

Post by dial911 »

New trailer today:
http://gamevideos.1up.com/video/id/20887

The game looks good gents and I'm going to buy it for sure. Looks like a mix between No More Heroes/Sin City/God Hand. Thoughts/Opinions?
What more can I say I wouldn't be here today if the old school didn't pave the way.

I saw a trailer a few weeks ago. It looks awesome, plus it was made by the new clover studio.

I'll remain skeptical until I see reviews/play it myself. So far the only reason anyone seems excited about this game is that it's really bloody and has a unique visual style. Big deal, I care about how it plays, which I haven't heard much about yet.

It's by the same geniuses that made God Hand!!! I have uttermost faith!
Although I didn't get all the fuss about the otherwise excelent Viewtiful Joe... and Okami was massively overrated... still, Sin City with Chainsaws!!!1!111

I agree that it's best to wait and see how it actually plays, but I'm definitely keeping my eye on this one.

Not to sure if the gameplay will be as attractive as the visuals, but the style certainly got me interested.

With their back portfolio i mind I am looking much forward to see how this turns out.

Looks cool but I'm not sold.

First problem, controls. Waggling is almost synonymous with bad controls to me.

Two: This looks very hardcore violent Gears of War style which turns me off. I like God Hand's whimsical and fantastical beat 'em up style.

3. Music is blergh.
"Sooo, what was it that you consider a 'good salary' for a man to make?"
"They should at least make 100K to have a good life"

I hope the music from the trailer isn't actual in game music :(

Also: I wonder if this game will have to have a disclaimer on the front regarding a certain film and series of books, in much the same way that Dead Rising did...

I liked what I saw of the trailers but I'm not buying a Wii. I can only support one console this gen as I'm not made of money.
