Congratiulations on having the guts to buy Eledees/Elebits instead of going for the typical safe bet games. Best launch title in my eyes.

Disc Based software:
Dewy's Adventure, Super Monkey Ball BB, Zack & Wiki, Kororinpa, Boom Blox, Sega Lightgun Games, Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn, Family Ski, Sonic & the Secret Rings, Nights: Journey of Dreams, Pro Evolution Soccer 08 (or rather wait for 09, said to utilize the same engine)

WiiWare: Lost Winds, Super Star Soldier R

No More Heroes
Godfather: Blackhand Edition
Ghost Squad
Resident Evil 4
Super Paper Mario

Soldier Blade
Gradius III

MP:Corruption is the best game on the system.

SSBB is great fun: only had a chance to play in 2p co-op so far, but come September and housemates coming back, I can see this getting obscene amounts of play.

I recommend Trauma Center: Second Opinion and Trauma Center: New Blood.

Oh, and I'm surprised no one mentioned Shikigami no Shiro III/Castle of Shikigami III.

Don't forget the Shmups ;)

Blast Works is a breath of fresh air for the genre, and has been holding my attention for a while. Shikigami III, as well.

Also dig the Rail-Shooters (HOTD:2/3, Ghost Squad, RE Chronicles)

Mario Galaxy is also a blast.

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions- i'll be checking them out over the next ew weeks.
Its always good to get the gamers view of a good game, not some magazine or site that get paid to do a review.

I'm a fan of good multiplayer, quirky games. -something new. thats why i bought the wii.

If you want multiplayer, aside from the obvious choice of Brawl, you'll want to check out Ghost Squad, that was a big hit with my group of friends when I got it.

Definitely get Resident Evil 4 Wii edition. Even if you've already played through it on the GC/PS2 the Wii-exclusive control scheme adds so much to the gameplay. No More Heroes should be really cheap by now and that's a good wacky slashemup. Ghost Squad and HoTD2 & 3 are required if you're a fan of gun games while Shikigami 3 and Blast Works are good picks for 2D shooters.

The Virtual Console is loaded with great titles as well. I need to get on mine and grab Star Parodier next chance I get.

Ghost Squad is superb. Picked it up from the bargain bins a week ago and have been completely hooked on the arcade mode. This is old-school Sega greatness through and through.

Is the House of the Dead compilation as good as this or should I be better off looking for the originals? Bear in mind that I don't mind the lack of a proper light gun in Ghost Squad at all.

By the way, trying to 1CC Ghost Squad while dual-wielding (playing two-player mode holding two remotes) is a TON of fun. Even better to turn off the crosshairs and go for maximum score.
