Where to obtain HRAP3?

Post by croikle »

I'm interested in getting myself an HRAP3, and have been looking around for places to buy one. I've looked at play-asia (backordered now), ncsx (out of stock, seems to have been for a while), and the guy at SDTEKKEN who's selling them. I've also poked around on eBay some.

Are there other places I should be considering as well? Should I just go for stridajin's $145 shipped, or is it reasonable to expect to get a lower price with some patience? Alternatively, is there anyone around here with extras they'd like to unload?
Thanks for your help.

Another possible alternative is to pick up an Hori Real Arcade Pro 2 and use a PSX/PS2 controller adapter device to a PS3 setup. It works like a charm. ^_~

Yeah, I guess that would work pretty well too, but in my searching so far the HRAP2 hasn't been particularly cheap or easy to find.

When play-asia gets back in stock, does anyone know about what it would cost to ship to the midwestern US?

I'm not sure how much it would cost for such a shipment but it would not be cheap, that much I do know for sure. ^_~

Or you could just pick up a brand new Hori USA PS2 Tekken 5 Special Edition arcade Stick and modify it with either Sanwa or Seimitsu arcade parts and it'd be usable with PSX/PS2/PS3 setup. It does use the standard hefty HRAP joystick base and uses generic Hori arcade parts for the joystick and push buttons. Is another cheaper alternative to consider as well, considering how pricey such HRAP-1, HRAP-2 and HRAP-3 sticks can go for if you can find one at all.

Try Akihabara Shop they might have them in stock.

Too bad VGO store ain't around anymore. It was the best place to order HRAP2 brandnew and for only $106 shipped within US. You couldn't find a better deal anywhere else. I'm glad I bought one before they closed shop.

NCSX is restocking the hard to find HRAP-3 for the PS3...

NCSX will be getting in their latest allotted shipment of the HRAP-3 and shipping them out on 9/16/2008. So if you want one, get your order in before tomorrow. NCSX's price of a HRAP-3 is still at $115.00 USD. ^_~

www.arcadeshock.com states they are getting them for $100 very soon if not already. I noticed it a few days ago.
