Can't wait to watch it this weekend. I was finally inspired to see this epic after Mushihimesama was announced for PS2 (considering it sounds like an obvious homage based on its plot, princess has to stop insects from poisoning environment, ect.). Also after reading up on it a bit too, reviews, ect.
Now for the age old question: Should I watch it in Japanese first or with the nice dub team of Patrick Stuart, Uma, Thurman, ect.?
Just bought Nausicaa on DVD.
You can't go wrong either way: sub or dub with this release. In general, I prefer subs but there are exceptions such as most Disney releases of Miyazaki films and of course Cowboy Bebop. The US voice actors are so much better--especially Faye Valentine.
Also, if you like Nausicaa get the manga. The movie is just one part of the superb manga.

Another one of those 'sub spoils it' things I guess, I can't stand watching cowboy bebop dubbed.Cugel wrote:In general, I prefer subs but there are exceptions such as most Disney releases of Miyazaki films and of course Cowboy Bebop.
