Are LCD monitors safe to TATE?

Post by Ruldra »

I can't find the manual anywhere to confirm this, so I'll have to ask here...

I have a LCD monitor (LG Flatron L1753T-SF), and I want to TATE it to play on MAME, but is it safe to turn it on its side? Is there any chance of damaging my monitor if it stays TATE'd for too long?

Don't worry, all LCD monitors are perfectly safe to tate.

Almost 100% sure it is fine. The dell monitors at my work actually swivel on their stand so they are designed to tate. Pretty sweet actually.

my samsung does the same thing. browsing forums in tate mode = win.
You're arguing for a universe with fewer waffles in it. I'm prepared to call that cowardice.
