Tech help: Namco System 1 test settings (Splatterhouse etc)

Ok, just got a Namco System 1 board with Tank Force on it. It coins up fine....seems to be working...but I can't start a game. I was going to change it to free play, but when I set it to test mode, it wouldn't let me change the settings. Anyone know how to work the settings on one of these?

Currently, if I hit the start button, it coins up rather than starting a game. I don't know what to do to make it work properly. FYI I've got an Egret 1 I'm trying to run it in....

Bump...no one have any ideas? Figured someone would have a Splatterhouse....

wish i had splatterhouse... I always assumed due to the year that these games would have dips on them for settings?

This one is a weird one. It has soft dips. You flip Dip 1 Switch 1 to go to test mode and then all the settings are in there. Strangely...I can't actually select any of em...same as I can't start a game.

Could be a damaged trace.

Is there a controls test - does the start button register.
