This Kid Rules!

I hate the Loonatics idea and am thrilled this 11 year is making a difference.

good. those initial concepts made me grit my teeth. Warner Bros cartoons were incredible.

side note: i get into arguments with people all the time about the quality of 60's-70's Hanna Barbera cartoons (i am on the side of them sucking feet). i know they were mass-produced, as if that were an excuse.
I have no sig whatsoever.

Heh heh...too bad we can't convince WB to just leave the old cartoons alone, rather than "compromising" on the remake...some things really shouldn't be remade, especially in the sterilized, politically correct climate nowadays..."Duck Dodgers" was lucky (I was nearly floored when they snuck a "compassionate conservative" joke in there); I doubt that the "Loonatics" will have anything remotely like that in mind.

And cap'n, to a large extent I'd agree on HB's stuff, but if you want REALLY lame cartoons, try some of Paramount's old stuff, like Mr. Magoo...never liked 'em a bit.

HB rules through their suckiness. Without HB, there would be no Ambiguously Gay Duo. Ever seen Banana Splits? That show rocked.

I couldn't care less what they do. No longer relevant to my life.

hate fuckin bugs, i have to rewrite a post that got lost.

honestly, i could imagine a world without the Ambiguously Gay Duo, without Robert Smigel actually. classic WB reigns cartoons as far as i am concerned. most of my favorites are part of that era (and almost all are directed by Chuck Jones). the quality and expressiveness are unmatched.
and the banana splits did rule (pretty much everything the Kroft's touched is acid tripping gold).

aside: anyone heard of the new kids show the Doodlebops. i think my dad said it best, "It's like the Banana Splits minus the fun."

What I can stand is that they say the Loonatics had an anime look. That's not anime. That's f***ing el cheapo simplified blocky animation. It worked for some cartoons like Batman series and Batman Beyond, but I am starting to get sick of those over-simplified designs.

What's up with execs butchering our childhood memories? I hate this new-edge dark shit.

Somebody shoot the bastard for coming up with this lame idea.

We had better cartoon back then.....hell even cartoons from the 80s are better than this new crap!
