Taito Memories 2 Vol. 2 Gekkan (Taito memories 4)

Post by nimitz »

Mods, don't lock this thread I did search around and all the threads about Taito memories are about the First (volume 1 and 2) or about taito memories 2 Joukan (Taito memories 3)

For people who are wondering what games are in Taito memories 2, here are the official japanese trailers:
Joukan (TM 2 vol.1) : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=raylVJzc-HU
Gekkan (TM 2 vol.2) : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9WI59h_E_E8

This thread is more or less to preach about how great the 4th one is.

25 games, 9 shmups and almost all of them are not on taito legend 1 & 2 (the ones we got here in the west) so they are "exclusive".
-Phoenix
-Polaris
-Sea Fighter Poseidon
-Gyrodine
-Metal Soldier Isaac 2
-Halley's Comet
-Rik kai ku
-Master Of Weapon
-Megablast

and some great non shmup games: Full Throttle, Chase H.Q, Night Striker :D , Bubble Symphony, Operation Wolf.

This is a good compliation. The non-shooter games mentioned are reason alone to get this.

I'd like to get the first one, Joukan, since it has Bubble Memories.

Yeah there are some pretty nice games on the 3rd (TM 2 Joukan), unfortunately half of the 25 games on the compilation seem plain horrible.

Every game in the 4th one seems to be at least enjoyable.

What I want to know is what are in those Books that they offered with the Taito Memories packs, history of the games, or general info about each game?

I have the books for Memories 3 and 4 and they have more detailed info about each game, images of the posters, instructions and dedicated cabs, that sort of stuff. There's also few "Taito History" snippets, one of which is about a "Dynamic Direct Dimension Burst Out System".

Some interesting stuff in there, would be nice to see these translated.

Both. The US and EU versions of TL1 have the same games across all platforms (PS2, PC and XBox).

Sadly I don't have access to a scanner...at least not yet.

Those two have options for tate, yes.

Thanks for the heads up Ghegs, hopefully one day they can be scanned, I'd love to see the books myself.
