Donpachi and Dodonpachi on a Japanese Ps2

Hi,
I saw this thread the other day and it caught my attention.

I was looking to get Donpachi and Dodonpachi for Ps1 to use on my Japanese Ps2 (I dont have a japanese ps1 or a saturn for that matter).
Having seen the above thread, it makes me wonder will these games also run slow on a Japanese ps2? Does anyone have any experience playing these games on one? I tried searching the forum but didnt really find anything specific. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The games run without any problems.

The only PS1 Shooters that have issues on a PS2 are Toaplan Shooting Battle, Gradius Deluxe Pack and Gradius Gaiden.

And yes, you're in the right section here. :wink:
