The only thing I see right with modern gaming is networking. Getting multiple people into the same game to either beat the crap out of each other, or work together towards a common goal. Also allowing users to augment or create their own content for sharing. Little Big Planet, if it ever comes out, would be a good example.

Re: What's right with modern games
GTA4 is seriously good. A lot of people here probably haven't played the game yet, but that's all right. There's a few glitches with street fighting and car physics take a fair bit of getting used to, but the game does what it does well.Twiddle wrote:A bunch of people picking up weapons off the street and shooting each other! I keep checking gamerankings each day to see if it's dropped under Ocarina of Time, hahaha.

Aha, I was gonna reply with "package physics" but I thought I was missing somethingLordstar wrote:no we have a long way to go. No one has yet to master ass physics yetbay wrote:yah i think modern games really do have the best physics.Daigohji wrote:Breast physics.

I think that's my favorite part also. At least when you're playing with a good group of people, not a bunch of asshats. I also like that there's more online cooperative modes for games popping up, vs games are fun but I really prefer co op.Dave_K. wrote:The only thing I see right with modern gaming is networking. There's hardly anything I can think of that deserves to be above Ocarina of Time, and the few I can think of are all other Zelda games. Certainly not GTA4.Twiddle wrote:It does deserve to be over Ocarina of Time, but not 10/10 worthy.

The length of Zelda games wouldn't actually be a problem if there wasn't a whole lot of nothing in the filler parts. Therefore GTA4 wins, though not over Link's Awakening.Skykid wrote:There's hardly anything I can think of that deserves to be above Ocarina of Time, and the few I can think of are all other Zelda games. my god how great is link's awakening? it really is one of the best games ive ever played. I recall my friend getting the US version and me and him would play it for hours on end then when we thoguht we got to the end we were flung in to dark world.Twiddle wrote:The length of Zelda games wouldn't actually be a problem if there wasn't a whole lot of nothing in the filler parts.
