..coming up.. anyone know what shmups are gonna show?

Dodonpachi 5 ofcourse, is Raiden 4 out yet?, G-revs new whatever its called.. anything else?

You mean Dodonpachi 4 ...or Donpachi 5.

Raiden IV has been out for almost a year. Maybe there'll be a Raiden V?

Senko No Rode 2 will make an appearance. As will Street Fighter IV.

This'll be one of the better AOU's, I'm sure.

well.. technically it is dodonpachi 6 even (if you count campaign version as 3), but Cave themselves referred to it as part 5 so i guess thats what we have to go by.

i still damn the day when i bought the 20$ PS2 Port of raiden 3..what a waste of money

i quite like the Typex version actually.. but i guess if you dont like raiden 1 or 2 then you wont like 3 either, old-old-school shiz...

altho a buddy of mine who has the ps2 version said he could hardly recognise it when he played it in my cab, worlds apart apparently (proboably like GWG which apparently also is crap on the PS2)

im definetly getting part 4 sometime in the future anyways.

I rather liked 3 on PS2 and I can see myself buying 4 soon. Is it as good as 3, better?

i quite like 3 aswell (actually have it installed in one of my cabs atm). its refreshingly oldschool somehow, no scoring gimmicks to mention or anything like that, just hard-as-nails-dodging.

id love to hear some impressions of 4 and if possble maybe even some pics/vids if someone has the time

I hear they are very different. Raiden 3 is closer in play stile to Raiden 1 and 2 (slower ship, more oldschool play), whereas 4 is sped up quite a bit (closer in play style to DX or even some of the ships from Jet).

I should say this is only going on second hand info. I've only played 3, and didn't like it at all. But with what I was told, I'm looking forward to seeing a console/PC port of 4 appear (hopefully).
