its hard to pinpoint but id say when they put the lil girls in doj was the turning point

well i was going to say mushi but then i remembered ibara came out after mushi

but if we look at yagawa and ikeda as seperate entities within cave and consider ikeda the true cave

then yea it was def. mushi

I don't really like Mushihimesama either, but maybe that damn Taito port is clouding my judgment.

When they started using pre-rendered and or smudgy sprites.
Some of the best shmups don't actually end in a vowel.

i cant see what anyone likes in that game to be honest, i can usually recognise a quality title even if i dont like it myself but thisone.. no.. just no.
