Probably my favourite freeware pc shmup ever. It has a fantastic soundtrack and it gets very manic in later stages. Please check out this masterpiece of art!
You can download the regular version here:
http://www.geocities.jp/abashi99/a2_game.htm (it's the bottom one)

And the HE version here:
http://abashi.hp.infoseek.co.jp/ (third link on that site)

750,350 - BA2 - 1-7

Not at all impossible, all shmups are meant to be beaten and even I have played harder games. Take Ultimate Stage for PC as an example.

I don't mean anything, it's my arcade nick. I think we all should use it in the scoreboards so that we can get a arcadelike feeling to it.

Dude, you're better than me! Have you tried Minami Shoots? I have the trialversion, as they say, but to me it seems it is the full game.

Cowboy-NOA - 1,389,350 - 4,127 - 2-2

I did no bomb no miss the 1-5 AND 1-7 (OMFG) boss. The very frustrating part in this run was that i missed 2 (&§/%&§) extra life icons.LOL!I would have easily reached 2-3 with 2 more lives

Very nice game indeed. The music is one of the most wonderful I've ever heard in a shooting game.

Just reached Stage 9 (died at the 3rd attack of the boss, the bullet pattern where you just have to stand still in the middle of the pattern).
This game is absolutely maniac. I can recommend it to everyone playing danmaku shooters and I REALLY don't understand, why nobody's playing it

Hard, but fun indeed.

Ghegs - 476,810 - 302 - 1-5

Where's the extra life on the first stage? I only know of the one in Stage 3...

after the first group of blue enemies is destroyed be quick and fly to the very top of the screen.5 blocks should appear and the life is in the middle one.
btw ive reached the true last boss once but im still not sure what the conditions are to reach him.its either dependant on your score, your scratching or your remaining lives.

Cowboy-NOA - 2,110,280 - 4,601 - 2-6

Played this again after years and it's still awesome.
This was my first time in 2-6 and the first enemy instantly killed me eventhough I usually know from the replay that he comes from behind.
Scratch was lower because I didn't want to trigger the egg TLB. He costs me a lot of bombs/lives and doesn't give me enough points to justify a fight.

Somebody please play this game.

I think I'll translate this scoring system so I can figure out how to optimally score in this game. I mean, one moment, I beat the second boss and managed to end the game with about 400,000pts. but another playthrough, I beat the second boss but with 200,000pts. in the end.

There must be something going on.

EDIT: Wrong game.

Scoring is pretty simple. Just shoot everything and scratch bullets. Furthermore don't die or use bombs for a bigger end of stage bonus.
Nevertheless it would be quite cool if you can translate some stuff. I'm especially interested how you unlock the second true last boss that comes AFTER the egg TLB.
I think I'm going to write a strategy guide for this game right now.

Well, yes it does!
What happened? That must've been some extreme milking somewhere?
Maybe at the fifth boss after destroying all its parts milking the extra enemies? So there's probably a sweet spot or something?
Do you have a replay?
